Author · Ten books on AI, trust & cyber resilience

Books that make sense of AI, trust & the fight for security.

Professor Kai London writes for the people who have to make the call — CIOs, CISOs, General Counsel, boards and the practitioners behind them. Ten books take the hardest questions of the moment — how to govern AI, how to defend identity and the airwaves, how to keep trust from cracking — and turn them into something you can actually read, argue with, and put to work. This is the author's home: start with the books, follow the themes, and meet the writer behind them.

About the author

Writing from the front line, not the sidelines.

Professor Kai London writes because the questions got too big to leave to slide decks. After 25+ years inside cyber security across Banking, Aviation, Defence, Government and Critical National Infrastructure, he started putting on the page what he wished every board and every practitioner could read in an afternoon — the doctrine, the trade-offs, and the decisions that actually hold up under pressure.

The books are field manuals, not theory. Each one takes a live problem — governing AI, proving an AI decision in front of a court, stopping the breach that starts with a login, defending the airwaves nobody guards, keeping trust from quietly fracturing — and works it through to something you can deploy. The prose stays readable at board level; the detail goes deep enough for the people who run the controls.

His writing tracks the themes reshaping the field: AI governance and the EU AI Act, Zero Trust, post-quantum cryptography, operational resilience and digital trust. The aim throughout is the same — replace fear and hype with clarity, and give readers a way to act.

Kai is Founder & CEO of Quantum AI Systems Security LLC, and an Honorary Professor in Cybersecurity, AI & Quantum Computing and Researcher at UCL — which keeps the writing honest and current as the technology moves.

The ten books

Start here. Ten books, eight hard problems.

Each title stands on its own and reads like a working reference — board-friendly on top, deep enough underneath for the people who run the controls.

01

The AI Architects

The enterprise blueprint for AI that actually survives production, security and the board — reference architecture, RAG and cognitive search, the AI SDLC, and governance you can stand behind rather than apologise for.

02

AI on Trial

What happens when an AI decision has to answer for itself? A practitioner's field guide to governing AI so every consequential call is explainable, auditable and defensible — built around the Evidence Chain Model and the SCALES framework.

03

The Last Login

Most breaches begin with a login that should have been stopped. The playbook for the identity era — VERIFY, LIMIT, DETECT, PROVE — with a Conditional Access library, KQL detections and a 90-day roadmap you can run.

04

The Invisible Airborne Perimeter

The network nobody guards is the one in the air. A complete enterprise wireless security programme — the S.I.G.N.A.L. framework, the Airborne Zero-Trust Model, evil-twin defence and NIS2 alignment.

05

TrustQuake

When trust breaks, the business breaks with it. Find the fault line before it finds you — seven practical instruments, real dated case studies, and a funded 90-day plan, mapped to the CRISC domains and NIST CSF 2.0.

06

Breachproof

The executive's battle plan for the new business war — leading through ransomware, AI-driven deception, and the fight to keep trust when the attack lands.

07

No Logs, No Launch

The C-suite command system for deploying AI in regulated enterprises in 90 days — with the logging, governance and audit trail required before anything goes live.

08

The AI Control Architecture

The 90-day system for building governed, regulated, revenue-ready AI — a control plane that keeps autonomous systems accountable. When the machine decides, someone must answer.
